After being introduced to the digital humanities through my undergraduate advisor, Matthew Kirschenbaum, I've been set on exploring the potential fruit of combining narrative sensibilities with procedural literacy, especially with an eye toward communication and critical study. I'm currently in the third year of my PhD at the Expressive Intelligence Studio, focusing on augmented reality and new media authoring tools. I've worked on a recent version of Xanadu and am interested in media platforms and their impact on culture. I'm also interested in real-time and asynchronous collaborative authoring, both fiction and non-fiction.
My opinion of Slavoj Žižek is he's too complicated for one, but rather requires a multitude of conflicting and paradoxical opinions. My stance on Flash vs HTML5 is that politics often trumps technology. I may not have been born digital, but I'm certainly adopted.
