I am a PhD candidate at Wayne State University working on early modern print culture and history of the book. In my dissertation project, I analyze paratexts designed and authored by printers, publishers, and booksellers, and the ways these paratexts functioned as marketing strategies. I hope this project will lead to creating a database that catalogues all the indexes, prefaces, and dedications I have located. I am definitely a novice at Digital Humanities, but I am eager to talk and learn about new developments, ideas, and projects in the field!
